मंदिर के बारे में
The temple of Sri Venkateswara crowns the seventh peak of the Tirumala hills, drawing tens of thousands of pilgrims every day. The deity, a form of Vishnu, is worshipped as the lord who relieves the burdens of the age. Its scale, antiquity and unbroken ritual tradition make it a centre of Vaishnava devotion across the subcontinent.
An ancient hill shrine, expanded by successive South Indian dynasties — the Pallavas, Cholas and Vijayanagara kings.
