Purpose and Spiritual Significance
Satyanarayan Puja is one of the most auspicious rituals in Hindu tradition, dedicated to Lord Vishnu who embodies truth, righteousness and divine protection. According to the Skanda Purana, this puja fulfills sincere wishes, removes obstacles, grants prosperity, and blesses the family with harmony. Performing Satyanarayan Puja acknowledges the eternal cosmic order (satya) and invites Lord Vishnu's benevolence into every aspect of life. Devotees believe that this ritual creates a protective spiritual atmosphere, attracts divine grace, and establishes dharma (righteousness) in the household.
