Frequently Asked Questions
What is Manglik Dosha?
Manglik Dosha (Kuja Dosha) is an astrological condition in Vedic astrology where Mars is placed in the 1st, 2nd, 4th, 7th, 8th, or 12th house of the birth chart. It is commonly checked before marriage as it is believed to create friction in marital life.
Can a Manglik marry a non-Manglik?
Yes, with remedies. The most common remedy is Kumbh Vivah — a symbolic marriage ritual performed before the real wedding. Marriage to another Manglik is also considered compatible as the doshas balance each other.
Does everyone born on Tuesday have Manglik Dosha?
No. Being born on Tuesday does not automatically create Manglik Dosha. The dosha depends on the placement of Mars in specific houses of the birth chart, not the day of the week.
Is Manglik Dosha permanent?
Manglik Dosha is believed to reduce in effect after the age of 28, as Mars matures at that age in Vedic astrology. However, the placement in the chart does not change; remedies and prayers are recommended regardless.
