How to Install
- 1.Install the Surya Yantra on a Sunday morning during the waxing moon (Shukla Paksha).
- 2.Purify the yantra by washing with raw cow's milk and then with Gangajal.
- 3.Place on a red or orange cloth on the altar, facing east — towards the rising sun.
- 4.Offer red flowers (especially lotus or rose), red sandalwood paste, and wheat or jaggery as naivedya.
- 5.Light a ghee lamp from the east side and burn sandalwood or saffron incense.
- 6.Chant the Surya mantra 108 times at sunrise, ideally while facing east.
