The Saraswati Chalisa glorifies Maa Saraswati — goddess of knowledge, learning, music, and the arts. The forty chaupais praise her veena (lute), white sari, swan vehicle, and her role as the source of the Vedas and all wisdom. It is recited by students, scholars, and artists, especially during Vasant Panchami.
