In Vedic astrology, Gochara (transit) refers to the current movement of planets through the zodiac — as opposed to the natal chart, which is fixed at the moment of birth. Transits show how the live planetary positions interact with your natal chart's houses and planets. Slow-moving planets (Saturn, Jupiter, Rahu, Ketu) create major life themes over months and years. Fast-moving planets (Sun, Moon, Mars, Mercury, Venus) create shorter cycles of days to weeks.
