Most online love calculators count the letters in two names. Vedic compatibility reads the two birth charts instead: the Moon signs, the nakshatra pair, Manglik status and the eight gunas (Ashtakoota) that the classical texts set out for marriage matching.
After you sign in and open Kundli Matching, enter both dates, known birth times and places. The tool computes each Moon sign and nakshatra, the koota breakdown, Manglik status and a combined score out of 36, as a side-by-side reading of strengths and friction points rather than a single yes or no.
Tradition counts 18 of 36 as the threshold for a match and 25 or more as a strong one. Below 18, the breakdown shows which kootas scored weakly, so the families know where to look with care.
