Vedic Compatibility
Love Calculator
A Vedic compatibility calculator that uses both partners' birth charts — Moon sign, Nakshatra, Manglik dosha, the classical eight gunas (Ashtakoot) — not name-matching. Free, no signup, in ten languages.
Why Vedic love compatibility is different
Most online love calculators work by counting letters in two names. That is astrology-themed entertainment, not astrology. A real Vedic compatibility reading uses the actual birth charts of both people — Moon signs, Nakshatra pairs, Manglik dosha status, and the eight gunas (Ashtakoot) that classical texts prescribe for marriage matching.
What this calculator checks
Enter two dates of birth, two times, and two places of birth. The calculator computes: each partner's Moon sign and Nakshatra, the Nakshatra compatibility score (Tara), the Mangal dosha status of both charts, the Varna and Vashya compatibility, the Yoni (animal-symbol) match, and a combined 8-guna score out of 36. The result is a side-by-side readout of strengths and friction points — not a single yes/no.
How to read the result
A score of 25+ out of 36 is traditionally considered auspicious. Scores of 18-24 are workable with awareness of the weak gunas. Below 18 does not mean 'do not marry' — it means the specific weak gunas (often Nadi or Bhakoot) need attention, and traditional remedies exist for each. The calculator explains which gunas are weak and what classical remedies address them.
Why birth details, not names
Names change across cultures, languages and lifetimes. The sky at the moment of birth does not. A chart computed from your date, time and place of birth is reproducible and falsifiable — anyone with the same three inputs gets the same chart. That is what makes Vedic compatibility a real system of analysis rather than fortune-telling.
When to use it, and when not to
Use it early in a serious relationship, well before families begin matching horoscopes formally. It surfaces the friction points you can address with awareness rather than discover after the wedding. Do not use it as a final verdict — the Ashtakoot is one classical framework among several, and the strongest predictor of relationship quality remains how two people actually treat each other.
