A remedy, an upaya, is a practice kept with devotion over time. The texts give four kinds, and a priest or astrologer chooses among them for a chart.
A remedy is kept on its day, after a bath and with a calm mind, for as long as the period asks. A gemstone is worn only after a full chart reading.
The graha's beej mantra or a stotra, counted on a mala.
Worship of the deity who rules the afflicted graha.
Gifts of grain, cloth or food on the graha's day.
